Release Date…

May the first, 1st of May, the merry month of May has been decided upon, that this will eventually be released, for public consumption… New book, for a new life, well the book is not going to make me retire early, if anything I’ve just increased my workload…

This has been a nightmare, i had assumed that it would be all right straight from the printers when it landed on my doormat, & i was quite eager to acknowledge the go-ahead for a full publication, then when i opened it, i realised that this book was exactly how i envisaged it… And not how it should look !

It should have looked professional, easy to use and not confusing, instead, it looked easy to use but at the same time, it presented itself as a photocopied bunch of papers put together in a coil bound book…

Trying to rectify this presented its own different problems and compounded the fact that as a workbook, there was nothing i could do, i put everything on hold for months, trying to figure out a solution to this conundrum, picking it up every opportunity i had, feeling it, looking at it even just holding it, it was how my worksheets were, how i filled everything in after a hunt, nothing was changed, the major change was that this was going retail, so this little gem has to sell itself…

It was a chance conversation with the publisher’s – publishing agent, that changed everything, as she revealed that i could have a twenty per cent colour insert… Now, why the !!!! was i told this now… After a further two weeks, of late nights early mornings and not seeing daylight, i managed to get it back to the publishers, with a new and very different format, i have combined the formats from the loose-leaf binder, the main journal, pas, etc… all into one book, all be it in a reduced size, but sufficient to use in one book, each of these different pages will be in a coloured insert, whilst the main papers will still be in black & white…

At the time of writing this, i have no idea how it looks put together or if it will work – but ?

i have copyrighted this work from start to finish, with most of the content having been perfected over fifty years, it may be an old way of recording your Artefacts, but i don’t think there is anything old about the way it works, but, this is the but, no one has come anywhere close to my method, perhaps because it is so simple, that people try to overthink the obvious whereas this starts and ends at the obvious…

it has been called a system by those that are using it, but there is no system to it, you can use as much or as little of the book as you want, but by utilizing the complete content within a month of use, if you have been going out once a week, already a picture of the jigsaw would already have become apparent…

We chose a well-known copyright company, for Authors, and Artesans alike, who reassured us, and keep doing so that our work is protected worldwide, I’ve had so many of my ideas taken from me and people have exploited the ideas, & me, mainly its because i have had lack of funds, but this one, I’ve tried my best to keep it a well-known secret, it has been protected since 1972, without me knowing it, but now legally i have the law on my side, ok it costs a yearly subscription but hey nothing is free…

So, what is it and when is the launch, well the launch date is a bit flat, as it is already out there… But when i have more than the pre-print copies, IE the first batch, then it will be officially launched, maybe on the first of May, which seems a good date, i wanted 2-3-4 as the original date, but we are just going past that with the first delivery… (- for those who don’t know 2-3-4 actually stands for 23rd April, which is St. Georges Day, whos the Patron Saint of England -)

So what does it look like… Well, the first thing is it is not a pocket version, it is the next paper size up at A4, with a gloss front cover, and an Acetate Sheet, giving the front cover a protective covering from sticky fingers, as you can see this pre-proof book has a grey cover with a book-entry at the bottom of the page, in my infinite wisdom i thought Book would look and sound better, well it sounds better when looking for reference numbers, but it looks terrible, so that has changed back to volume, the front cover is now coloured green, as is the wording in a darker shade of green, instead of grey…

N SOTAB…

N SOTAB – (- which is my Pseudonym as an author -) is now written in Purple, instead of white, purple was my original choice, but writing protocol had to be followed with the wording being complementary and uniform, however, this run which is now being printed for public consumption, will be written in purple, if it looks horrible, then i have learned my lesson, but purple stays for the foreseeable future, or at least until i re-run the first thousand…

Instead of binding this book as “perfect bound” which means that it has a glued spine which is then covered in paper, which seems to be the chosen route everyone else goes down, i have chosen to bind my book in “coil bound” which allows the book to be opened and laid flat, & as this is a workbook it does seem logical to have chosen this route…

With perfect bound, if you have ever tried writing in a book that wants to keep rising in the middle the first thing you do is break its spine, this, in turn, breaks the glue binding it all together, soon it will start to lose its shape, and later the pages start to move & as you shuffle them back in place you are weakening them further, & before long they start to fall out, so by choosing a coil bound book, it should be able to withstand a lot more abuse than a book bound with glue, we have chosen a solid metal coil instead of plastic or wire, although in the future we might use wire-o as a chosen binding for later books, but as for the foreseeable future we will be using a plastic-coated metal coil…
