During the ’80s & the ’90s, very few people went mud larking along the foreshores of the river Thames, a practiced art of using your eyes only to find the treasures left behind, but as more and more people applied for a license, it became obvious that there were too many people applying to look for these little treasures left behind by our ancestors… An article written in the Daily Mail has brought home the issues the port authority has been faced with before bringing in a ban on handing out any more licenses to search the Thames Foreshore… below is Nicola White one of the most prolific social media posters about her finds from the foreshore…
